Highly recommended and long live Vaelin al Sorna. Despite these flaws, Queen of Fire was good and I felt the series ended on an appropriate note. I also feel like the series developed from a story centered mostly on the actions of one character to a wide epic where he was relegated to almost a background character, which is a shame because he was such an awesome character. Additionally, I felt that one complaint of Tower Lord was that Vaelin, with the exception of the beginning and the end of the book, spent most of his time isolated from the main conflict of the story, and I felt like something similar happened in this book, where he helped take Varinshold but then trekked across the Ice for most of the book, enduring flashbacks and such, and then reappearing for the final fight.
I feel like this one wrapped up a decent amount of plot threads from throughout the series, although I wish more of the aftermath of the conflict was shown, and the ending did seem a tad hasty.
I thought it was much better than Tower Lord, but not quite as good as Blood Song.
